Local Contexts Hub labels (TK Attribution, BC Provenance, Open (with) Care, and others) are the international standard for embedding Indigenous data sovereignty into digital assets. They follow the file wherever it goes. into Adobe Bridge, ExifTool, web crawlers, archives. making provenance visible to anyone who handles the asset.
Until now, generating these labels required either a Hub account + XMP/ID3 knowledge, or a developer to write the metadata. This tool makes the workflow accessible to any curator, researcher, or iwi administrator. no Hub account required for v1, no command-line tools, no file upload.
v1 ships with 4 example projects representing the range of Hub project types. When a real Hub account is wired up, this becomes a search field.

After downloading, save each section of the bundle as the indicated filename next to your original asset. Each section has the format expected by the corresponding standard tool (ExifTool, qpdf, ffmpeg).

This tool implements the Local Contexts metadata conventions per the Hub's published standards. The XMP sidecar format is a superset that includes both legacy XMP fields (dc:rights, xmp:dc:title) and a localcontexts: namespace block with TK/BC label URLs pointing at the canonical Hub project page.
